What We Do

One Specialty.
Done Right.

We don't do avionics, airframes, or engines. We restore transparencies — canopies, windshields, side windows, and polycarbonate panels. That singular focus means every process, every tool, and every technician is optimized for one outcome: optical clarity.

PolycarbonateAcrylicAll Transparency Types
01
Evaluation
We assess the panel — depth of hazing, crazing, UV damage, and structural integrity — before committing to a restoration scope.
02
Surface Restoration
Multi-stage abrasive and polishing process removes surface oxidation, scratches, and crazing while maintaining panel geometry.
03
Ceramic Coating
A nano-ceramic topcoat bonds to the restored surface, providing UV protection, hydrophobic performance, and extended clarity life.
04
Pack & Return
Panels are cleaned, inspected, and professionally packed for return shipment or in-person pickup. Documentation provided on request.
Delivery Options

About

Specialists,
Not Generalists.

ClearAircraft was built on a simple premise: aircraft transparency restoration deserves dedicated specialists, not a side service at a general MRO.

Based in San Diego, CA — a hub for aerospace, defense, and general aviation — we serve operators across the US and Latin America. Our technicians focus exclusively on polycarbonate and acrylic transparencies, applying proven restoration and ceramic protection processes refined over thousands of panels.

We work with helicopter operators, fixed-wing owners, MRO facilities, and military units. If it's a transparency, it's in our wheelhouse.

FAQ

Common
Questions.

Can you fix cracks or structural damage?
No. Restoration applies to surface-level optical degradation — hazing, scratching, crazing, and UV yellowing. Structural cracks require replacement, and we'll tell you that upfront.
What types of damage can you restore?
Surface hazing, fine scratching, UV oxidation, crazing (micro-crack networks), and yellowing are all within scope. We evaluate each panel before quoting to confirm restorability.
Do you work on all aircraft types?
Yes. We work on helicopters, fixed-wing, experimental, and military platforms. If it's a polycarbonate or acrylic transparency, we can assess it.
Does the transparency need to be removed first?
For shipped panels, yes — removal is required. For on-site service, we can work with transparencies installed depending on access and condition.
How long does turnaround take?
Most restorations complete in 3–7 business days at our facility. AOG and expedited service is available — contact us to discuss your timeline.
What is the ceramic coating and is it required?
The ceramic coating is an optional but strongly recommended final step. It provides UV protection, hydrophobic performance, and extends the life of the restoration significantly.
